We are
called to LEAD GOD'S PEOPLE TO GROW IN CHRIST. God wants each of
us to be a growing, fully devoted follower of Christ. Spiritual growth
is vital for every child of God.
The Christian
faith is a personal relationship with a living God, and therefore is something
that continues to grow and deepen. The life of a disciple is the life
of a learner who continues to learn from the Master, Jesus Christ. In
Paul's letter to the church in Ephesus, he describes the process of Christian
growth in these words:
"Then
we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and
blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and
craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the
truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head,
that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by
every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each
part does its work." Ephesians 4:14-16

GROWING IN
DISCIPLESHIP
One of our focuses at Peace With Christ is to provide opportunities for
adults to be transformed and equipped, through the Word of God, for a
life of discipleship and ministry, under the power and direction of the
Holy Spirit. Our goal is to:
·
Actively encourage a life of discipleship through the study and application
of the Word of God and the ongoing development of other spiritual disciplines.
· Equip and support people to be actively involved in a ministry
to others according to their spiritual gifts.
· Develop disciples who will live out the Great Commission and
the Great Commandment in relationship to their family, community, workplace
and world.
To fulfill part of our mission in the Adult Education ministry, we have
designed a track system of Sunday morning classes, that will identify
different learning focuses and levels to meet the varying needs of the
adult learner. For current class offerings, check the brochure on the
information wall in the lobby.
